Food parcel deliveries have been put in place throughout South Africa in efforts to continue feeding the nation during lockdown, citizens have seen riots and arguments as some people are complaining they are not receiving them.

Many citizens are forced to queue up for hours in advance to fight for a chance for food, Sky News reported in a video that citizens were queuing from 2am to increase their chances.

In the video posted on Twitter there was a heated argument regarding the deliveries being biased and given to family members as a priority.

“You don’t have the rights to give who you feel like because [inaudible] is your family, so you just give her”

The woman disputing the deliveries can be heard raising her voice and due to thrustration asking the woman behind the camera if she wants to throw (raise fists and fight).

“I am fighting for the people, for those who do not have”
