On day 15 of the national lockdown more liquor stores were looted. The latest looting took place in Delft, Western Cape.
Earlier this week Tops! and Shoprite Liquor were the target of mass looting.
On Thursday evening President Ramaphosa extended the national lockdown by another two weeks and it will last until the end of April. It is still unclear if bans on alcohol and cigarettes will be lifted.
Tax Justice South Africa have called on government to lift these restrictions during the lockdown.
15 days of the #LockdownSA ban on tobacco sales has cost SA R525 million in lost cigarette excise duties alone.
