Minister Jackson Mthembu made a blunder during yesterdays media briefing while addressing the delivery of ‘ventilators’ to hospitals.
Mthembu was speaking live on air when he said they will be issuing ‘vibrators’ to ICU’s in hospitals.
Hawu Mjekejeke!! You are looking for what? Vibrators in ICU rooms? This thing of COVID-19 must come to an end really! @JacksonMthembu_? pic.twitter.com/9kLwG0GvMX

Social Media has responded to the blunder and chose to nickname Mthembu ‘Minister Vibrator’. The Minister will not live this blunder down for some time, many finding humor within the statement.
Early this morning the minister took to Twitter to confirm that it was a mistake and has apologised for using the term ‘vibrator’ instead of ‘ventilator’
Yesterday night during a @newsroomafrica interview by @JJTabane , I mistakenly referred to #Ventilators as #Vibrators , whilst I did correct this during the same interview , I once again tender my unreserved apology for the slip . https://t.co/zKR2DSQ8fL
