A video shared on social media shows EFF members attacking the police. This is one of a few incidents happening on Friday as EFF marched against Eskom.
More than a dozen coal trucks caused traffic congestion in Sandton, Johannesburg, on Friday morning due to the protest.
They were part of a demonstration organized by the EFF in which hundreds of people are believed to be heading to Eskom’s headquarters at Megawatt Park in Sunninghill to cast their votes on load shedding and privatization.
Motorists were warned to avoid Rivonia Road, Catherine Street, Witkoppen Road, and Greyston Drive.
