Bambazi High School situated in Bergville, KZN fell victim to an alleged arson attack yesterday. The fire aggressively spread through the school, the fire department were quickly on the scene to fight the blaze.

Elijah Mhlanga, Spokesperson for the Department of Basic Education took to Twitter sharing the video and said too many schools have been destroyed lockdown and also said “It’s going to be tough”

What others are saying?

Many users took to social media platforms in disgust, describing the alleged arson as a “vindictive attack” and an “out right embarrassment” for South Africa. People on the Twitter platform are speculating that this could be work of tenders, due to the lockdown they are out of work and by burning the school down they will be tasked to rebuild.

Perhaps someone wanting the gig to “rebuild” it ? ??‍♂️

Check the Companies that are receiving tenders to built schools, they need more work.

Public works must employ full time builders to build schools and stop the Tender system.
