Thousands took to the streets today in Cape Town in abid to bring further pressure on the Gender Based Violence and Farm Attack crimes in South Africa. Many have reported that the protests started peacefully until the Police officers arrived with their weapons and stun grenades, one eye witness described the Police as animals.
SA Updates reached out to one of the organizers of the Stop Farm Attack movement, Debbie Els. According to Els, the police in Cape Town attacked the protesters with stun grenades and bullets. One of the incidents can be seen in the video below. According to Els the protest was peaceful and no officers were intimidated. The Stop Farm attack movement has joined hands with South African bikers to peacefully protest the attacks and murders on farms.
