The Proteas’ last two one-day matches against India have been canceled due to fears of the Covid-19 coronavirus.
The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) said earlier that the last two matches, Sunday in Lucknow and Wednesday in Kolkata, would take place in front of empty stadiums.
The last two games will now not be played at all. The BCCI said in a statement on Friday that the governing body and Cricket South Africa will reschedule the series.
“The Proteas will visit India later to play three one-day matches. The BCCI and Cricket SA will work out a revised schedule later.”
This comes after the Indian Premier League T20 was rescheduled earlier.
The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has decided to postpone the IPL until April 15 due to fears over the spread of the coronavirus.
