Thousands took to the streets today in Cape Town to show their support against Farm Attacks and Gender-Based Violence, Bikers across South Africa could be seen in their hundreds revving their engines and patrolling the streets in a peaceful protest.
The plans were for them all to meet at the Cape Town parliament however, they were met with violence from the Police. An eyewitness account has spoken to NewsliteSA and said “We are disgusted with the reaction and retaliation that we were met with, murderers and rapists are released on bail yet peaceful protesters are treated like dirt by the Police who are there to protect the citizens.
There have been reports that 14 people have been arrested so far today.
NewsLiteSA reported earlier with the start of the altercations, as the day has gone on further incidents have been published on Social Media.
