John Steenhuisen said it is disrespectful to any MP to disrupt the proceedings. Parliament is struggling to do its job for the last hour and a half, it is unacceptable. The behavior seen tonight – throwing water bottles at female MPs – is a violation and that appropriate steps must be taken.
Iman Shaik says it’s clear the rules have been violated. Modise said her decision was made, but that EFF MPs continued. It is a deliberate crime. They had previously told the media that they would disrupt the session. There must be consequences to what happened today.
