Emergency services this morning were working hard to recover a man’s body from the Voëlklip cliffs. Eyewitnesses reported that they saw a man inside a Ford Ecosport drive over the cliff.
The man is alleged to have been in a rental car at the time he drove off the cliff.
Eyewitnesses have said that the man was driving at high speeds towards the cliff where they were standing and later turned to avoid them and then driving off the cliff.
ER24 was at the scene, the helicopter was used to airlift the man’s body from the cliffside.
The cliffside is well known throughout South Africa after the previous tragedy which involved a woman and her children.
