On Saturday afternoon another tornado hit KwaZulu-Natal – this time in the vicinity of Ulundi.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) sent a tweet from Sakhile Magalela showing how a tornado makes contact with the ground.
According to Magalela, no one was injured.
Sipho Hlomuka, MEC for the Department of Collaborative Governance and Traditional Affairs in KwaZulu-Natal, warned people to first look at weather forecasts before tackling long rides with the heavy rains that make the roads dangerous. He also warned people to be careful when driving or walking over bridges.
