A fatal collision occurred in Moche Raod, Daveyton yesterday leaving seven injured and one loss of life.
The collision involved a “light motor vehicle” and allegedly it crashed into the side of a taxi.
The crash happened late at night and the ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 00:40, upon arrival the Provincial Services were already on the scene assessing the injured.
Amongst the debris the paramedics found a man to be lying in the road at the side of the light vehicle, seven of the others that were injured were walking around the scene.
One man had suffered major injuries during the collision and shown no sign of life, he was declared dead at the scene.
Preliminary assessments were carried out on the other injured patients which discovered one patient to be in a critical condition, this patient required “advanced life support interventions”, leaving six others suffering from moderate injuries, said ER24.
All of the assessed patients were taken to a nearby hospital where they received additional care.
