Beau Brummell, the man who became famous for the first nudist resort in South Africa, has died. He was 77.
His daughter Cheyanne Bush shared the news of her father’s death on Thursday in a Facebook entry. “The legendary Beau Brummell died at a hospital in Mamelodi at 2am this morning. You will be sorely missed, Dad, ”she writes.
Brummell, dubbed by some media as the “bald king”, started his first nudist resort outside Bela-Bela in Limpopo in 1978 with his wife, the former model Cecilia Kapp.
However, he has lived in Bronkhorstspruit for the past 17 years, fully clothed.
