New regulations on flights under the travel ban have been announced.
According to these regulations, passengers from high-risk countries are prohibited, Airports Company South Africa, said in a statement.
The countries below is now part of the travel ban.
- South Korea
- Italy
- Spain
- Iran
- Germany
- America
- United Kingdom
- China
- France
If an airline of a high-risk country lands in South Africa, the aircraft will be escorted to a remote area and notified to the authorities.
Foreigners from these countries will not be allowed to disembark.
The crew will undergo thorough medical screening tests.
South Africans will be allowed to board the flight, but will be examined clinically and immediately quarantined.
