A 30-year-old suspect has been arrested in Mokopoane on Monday 6th January 2020 on allegations of sexual offenses and other serious crimes.
Since the arrest, the suspect has already been linked to fifteen cases of rape and four robberies that have spanned from 2011 to 2018. It has been reported that the suspect would enter the victim’s houses while they sleep, threaten them and then finally rape them.
The crimes that the suspect committed were done in multiple areas such as Soweto, Gauteng, and Limpopo.
General Nneke Ledwaba has congratulated all of those that have been involved with the investigation “Their efforts in putting this alleged serial rapist behind bars, have surely gotten rid of one of the heartless criminals who was apparently hell-bent on instilling fear in the minds of many women”.
The suspect will appear at Mokopane Magistrate Court today.
