POLOKWANE – A 17-year-old suspect was granted bail on rape charges and GBH when he committed murder against an 18-year-old teenager learning at Northern Academy School in Polokwane.
It’s been reported by Brig. Motafela Mojapelo that the suspect ‘brutally stabbed’ the victim around 02:00 on the 2nd January 2020. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and unable to speak at the time.
With the information received the Police launched an operation to find the suspect, he was later discovered to be hiding at Seshego Zone 3 on the 5th January 2020.
The initial charges facing the suspect were Assault GBH however on the 5th January 2020 Thoriso Noko Kgomo succumbed to his injuries and the charge was escalated to murder.
Whilst attending Seshego Magistrate’s Court yesterday a crowd gathered outside demanding that bail should not be given to this suspect again.
