Another day of chaos occurred at the University of KwaZulu-Natal as “learners” went to the streets.
The South African student union has voiced concern after yet another building was torched. This is the third building torched at the campus this week.
“The right for students to protest over institutional matters at UKZN should not be misunderstood as the right to act outside of the confines of the law. We urge the student body at UKZN and at large not to be misled into acts of criminality from individuals who care not about their future,” said SAUS

A lacturer theater in the main #UKZN Pietermaritzburg campus was gutted in fire last night after students protested broke out. This is not the third university property that has been burn since last week. @TheMercurySA pic.twitter.com/yvPqvKUPyv
“Students” also vandalized other buildings and burned tires in the road.
