Gauteng police are calling on the public to come forward with information about two shooting incidents in the early hours of New Year’s Day at a restaurant in Melville and at Mary Fitzgerald Square in Johannesburg.
Police spokeswoman Mathapelo Peters said the search for the suspects continues.
At least two people were killed and six people injured in a shooting on New Year’s Day at Poppy’s restaurant in Melville.
Shots were fired at 2.30 am in Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown, Johannesburg. Eleven people, seven men, and four women were wounded and taken to hospitals.
A cash reward is offered to any individual who can provide information on any of these incidents, provided that the information leads to the arrest and successful prosecution of the suspects.
