President Ramaphosa has said that he will be attending a meeting this morning (Wednesday 20 May 2020) to discuss matters relating to the lockdown with opposing political parties.
As of May 19 2020, there has been 17,200 recorded cases in South Africa and 312 deaths.
The Western Cape remains the epicenter of infections with over 10,639 confirmed cases and 187 deaths.
The meeting to discuss matters regarding the pandemic and the national lockdown will be held as a virtual meeting between parties.
We hope to hear a response later today with further details on how the meeting went and what was discussed.
