Parliament made a “mistake” when the institution initially confirmed on Twitter on Wednesday that former president. Jacob Zuma will attend the state speech on Thursday.
“In confirming the list of former presidents who confirmed their attendance at #Sona, an earlier two former pres. Jacob Zuma wrongly included. The confirmation was premature; an accurate update will be provided later today. We apologize for the mistake, “said a tweet from Parliament on Wednesday afternoon.
It was after Parliament and the government officially confirmed on Twitter earlier in the day that Zuma would attend the proceedings.
