This morning daily commuters were travelling in a taxi southbound on the N2 in KwaZulu Natal when the vehicle overturned, the cause of the accident is unknown.
The paramedics were on the scene swiftly and arrived to see other motorists attempting to aid the injured out of the vehicle.
The ER24 team carried out their initial assessments and found 14 suffered only minor injuries. While assessments were underway there remained one lady trapped inside the vehicle.
The fire services worked alongside ER24 to remove the lady, after assessment the woman was found to be in a critical condition and required Advanced Life Support.
Once the Life Support was carried out the woman remained in a stable yet critical condition, her injuries required her to be airlifted by a private helicopter to a nearby hospital.
The 14 that suffered only minor injuries were also transported to hospital by ambulance for further investigations.
