Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said in a statement on Saturday that the process of finding suitable accommodation in the country for the South Africans returning from Wuhan is almost complete.
Mkhize also called on the management of the hotels, game reserves and resorts in remote areas with which his department liaises, not to speak to the media.
Cyril Ramaphosa announced that they will be returned.
151 South Africans will be brought out of Wuhan, but no one has said when that will happen.
None of the people have the virus and, according to Mkhize, show no symptoms, although they are currently in isolation in Wuhan. When they arrive, they will be further placed in isolation.
Currently, there is much speculation about where.
“Various facilities were visited. Once a decision has been made, further discussions will be held with stakeholders, including community leaders. ”
Mkhize has ensured that the quarantine facility will be strictly controlled to ensure that people living nearby are not exposed in any way.
