The Minister of Transport today has met with taxi stakeholders in the Western Cape. This meeting comes after the incidents in Paarl where two taxi riders were shot dead.
“The issue with taxi violence does not only happen here, it’s national,” said the Minister of Transport
He also goes on to say that he is now consulting with taxi associations across all provinces to find a way to end such crimes and violence involving taxis.
The minister also mentions plans to talk to the community to hear what they have to say about the situation and then delegate a plan to make the province safer for those who ride in transport.
