A school in Soweto is left mourning after they lost the principal and a Grade 8 pupil just days apart.

Steve Mabona, Department of Education spokesman said confirmed that a Grade 8 pupil at Sebetsa-O-Tholemoputso High School died last Friday. The pupil was on his way home when lightning striked him, he was only a few miles away from the school.

The following Monday it was also reported that Fana Khoele who was the acting principal at the school had also passed away. “He collapsed at his home and died” said Mabona.

We hope that our presence will help them feel healed
