A mutilated body of a man suspected of being killed was found near Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
Police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo says people who walked into a wooded area near the stadium on Thursday night found the gruesome body under a bridge of the N1 bypass near the stadium.
All of the man’s organs, including the heart, kidneys, liver, and intestines and genitals were removed. The man who was in his 40s.
He was wearing gray trousers, a blue T-shirt and black shoes. Police are still trying to determine who the man was.
“The reason for the gruesome murder is another mystery, but it may have been a “muthi” murder,” says Mojapelo.
Murder killings occur especially in the Vhembe and Mopani districts in Limpopo.
Lieutenant General. Limpopo police chief Nneke Ledwaba said he was shocked at the cruelty of the murder.
