Mpumalanga police are continually searching for those who torched a 52-year-old man in his vehicle last Thursday. This incident took place in Mbombela.
John Sibuyi was abducted on February 6 at the Mashonamini Trust near Bushbuckridge.
According to preliminary information, he was able to tell the person who found him that his vehicle was on fire while locked inside. After the attackers left, he managed to break a window and get out.
Sibuyi died three days later due to severe burns.
Hlathi says the investigation is ongoing and police are calling on the community to come forward with any material information.
