During the coronavirus pandemic, the load on infrastructure was drastically decreased which resulted in loadshedding disappearing altogether, however, it will make a grand return for Gauteng today.
In a recent statement released by Eskom they have said that ‘Load reduction’ will be active between 17:00 to 22:00.
The areas that will be affected by ‘Load reduction’ are the following:
Soweto
Chiawelo, Dhlamini, Jabulani, Klipriviersoog, Mapelta, Molapo, Moraka, Naledi, Phiri, Protea North, Protea South, Protea Glen, Senoane, Bram Fishcerville, Dobsonville, Dobsonville Gardens, Doornkop, Emdeni, Lufhereng, Meadowlands, Protea North, Protea South, Protea Glen, Thulani, Vlakfontein 238-lq and Zurrbult 240-lq
Vaal
Boipatong, Powerville, Sharpeville, Tshepiso, Vanderbijlpark N.E.3, Vereeninging, Althea AH, Ennerdale South, Geluksdal AH, Kanana Park and Orange Farm.
Customers have been advised to turn off their appliances during the load reduction to prevent damages when the supply has been restored.
