The authorities late last night seized a multimillion drug operation near Khayelitsha. The Western Cape Flying Squad are working hard to ‘make a much-needed dent to the drug trade’ in the area.
The Flying Squad was driving along the N2 highway when intelligence leads them to stop and search a suspected vehicle. Carrying out the search they discovered large quantities of mandrax tablets that were packaged in bags that hold up to 1000.
In total 69,000 tablets were seized and one 45-year-old suspect was arrested and facing charges for ‘possession and dealing in drugs’.

Within a 10km proximity, another drug operation was cut short when two suspects were stopped and arrested and found to be in possession of
36x Ecstasy tablets
1x bag containing cannabis
1x gold bar
Speed point machine
All three suspects will appear at court the coming Monday, all facing the same drug charges.
