Johannesburg Metro Police received information of ‘panel beaters’ that were non-compliant therefore operating illegally.
Non-compliant panel beaters are renowned for purchasing stolen goods for a profit. Being non-compliant allows these criminals to keep no paper trail of goods received. The items they receive are often spray painted to mask that they are stolen.
JMPD are pushing hard in the region to make the area a safer place and this can be seen with their recent posts showing #SaferJoburg.
Non compliant panel beaters shut down in Jeppestown during Operation #OkaeMolao by @SAPoliceService, #JMPD & @GTP_Traffstats. Even JMPD bumpers were sold at one of the panel beaters. Arrests have been made.

Sabelo of Twitter thank’s JMPD for the closure of the scrapyard, he mentions that they have been complaining for months.
Oh thank you !!!!, we have been complaining for months without action. Please camp there for full 3 months because these scrapyards and panelbeaters are just too many for one day or 2 operation. Jeepestown next to Kwa Maimai all the way up. Thank you???????????

Some Twitter users seem to have lost their trust in the system, mentioning that they will get a slap on the wrist and return the next day in another location. Could we see tougher consequences in the future?
But we see all these arrest but these criminal get bail and that's the end off it !! Next their back as if nothing happened..they even smile when they are arrested. They say " brother I will be bac tomorrow" you wasting your time Oga!!!
