A young girl, aged 11, fell victim to repeated rape attacks between 2016 and 2017. The guilty man, her father was found guilty and received a life sentence on the 6th March 2020 at the Carnarvon Circuit Regional Court.
The girl who cannot be named due to her age disclosed that she sustained multiple threatening attacks and rapes. In a desperate attempt to escape the attacks she reached out to the father’s work colleague.
Police acted fast and on the 25th April 2018, the man was arrested and remained in custody until the case was investigated.
Courts are becoming stricter on rape cases, NewsLiteSA has reported numerous cases and majority of those are now receiving life sentences.
