A family of three have been arrested in Giyani on the 31st December 2019 as they believed the husband was allegedly practising witchcraft.
Mr Samson Hlungwani was strangled to death by his family.
Mr Hlungwani was accused by one of the sons to have ‘bewitched’ him, this belief came to light when he complained that the women he marries leave him not long after.
The Limpopo Police acted on information they received and when they arrived at the property they found Mr Hlungwani lying motionless with bruises over his body.
Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has sent out a warning to the community to stop accusing citizens to be practicing witchcraft and then later on killing them.
Witchcraft accusations have been an issue for many years, The Independent posted an article back in 1998 describing the brutality of those that believe in Witchcraft.
The three arrested suspects will be seen at Tiani Magistrates court on accounts of murder charges.
