Panyaza Lesufi, MEC for Education in Gauteng, received the report on the forensic investigation following the drowning of Enock Mpianzi during a school camp in January.
Mpianzi, 13, a Grade 8 pupil at Parktown Boys’ High School was at a school camp in North West when he drowned. An independent law firm has been appointed to handle the investigation.
“We will study the report and share the outcome with the families, the school community and the Gauteng cabinet involved,” Lesufi said in a brief statement. “We will issue a statement on this in the next few days. We are proud of the legal team. ”
Malcolm Williams, the principal of Parktown Boys’ High School in Johannesburg, was suspended after the incident.
