Don’t accept money in exchange for voting for a leader, not even Chicken Licken or alcohol.
This is one of the warnings that the EFF addressed to delegates in the run-up to its four-day leadership conference.
Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, the national party spokesman, clearly stated this in his message to the delegates: no bribes, chicken or alcohol.
They were also asked not to discuss the leadership positions before the congress begins on Friday.
Moses Koma, regional secretary of the EFF in Gauteng, warned party members in a letter that they may not call delegates or invite faction meetings or discuss party leadership.
“Only the national office and the provincial secretary’s office may call delegates. Other offices and structures are advised not to blame them for this unconstitutional and opportunistic behavior, ”the letter states.
He warns that strict action will be taken against those who contact delegates.
About 4,000 delegates are expected to attend the congress where they will vote for the six top positions and additional members of the red beret’s central management.
He would not be surprised if people tried to influence the deputies, Ndlozi said.
“It is expected that people will try to infiltrate the EFF. As you know, there are dedicated state security resources that focus on the EFF. “
