The East Rand Mall in Boksburg has been closed after at least five robbers, armed with assault rifles, robbed a jewelry store in the center Monday afternoon.
According to preliminary information, several shots were fired and shoppers had to seek shelter.
It is not yet known if anyone was injured or if anything was stolen.
A video emerged online of a father calming his child as the shooting is happening in the background.
