The Dutch foreign minister requested that South Africa provide more information on the planned amendment of the South African Constitution to allow land expropriation without compensation.

This request comes after the Dutch Parliament expressed its concern about the planned land expropriation six months ago.

Maroelamedia reported that last year the Solidarity Movent held discussions with six political parties in the Dutch parliament about the planned changes to the Constitution. “We are constantly liaising with Dutch politicians to ensure that their government exerts pressure on the South African government on this matter.”

NewsliteSA earlier reported that AfriForum will kick off its campaign at US Embassy against expropriation, farm murders, hate speech, and discrimination.

The campaign will kick off with a visit to the US in February, during which the report will be discussed with several decision-makers in Washington, DC.

Thereafter, the campaign will continue with various international awareness campaigns, which include visits to countries in South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. AfriForum is already in discussions with various governments and other decision-makers in these countries.
