The government’s application for appeal against a ruling by the Pretoria High Court that the Covid 19 containment regulations are unconstitutional will be heard on Wednesday.
Judge Norman Davis recently ruled that the containment regulations are unconstitutional and therefore invalid.
He gave the government 14 working days to reconsider, amend or amend the regulations.
Reyno de Beer, president of the Liberty Fighters Network (LFN), said in a statement on Sunday that the application will be heard at 10:00 on Wednesday morning.
The application is brought by Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, who heads the government’s campaign against the Covid 19 pandemic.
