Twelve prisoners awaiting trial escaped from the police cells in Koster, North West, in the early hours of Monday.
Brig. Sabata Mokgwabone, police spokesperson, says they are between 20 and 40 years old and made a hole in the wall.
“Two of the escapees have meanwhile been arrested again. The escapees are charged with various crimes, including assault, burglary, theft and possession of suspected stolen goods. “
