A Tzaneen man is behind bars after police seized nearly R2m worth of stolen goods, including cigarettes.
The local police’s crime intelligence unit came across this finding on Tuesday when they hit a luxury home.
Brig. Motlafela Mojapelo, Limpopo police spokesperson, said pills were also used as sex additives.
The cigarettes were packed in 84 cardboard boxes and 1,319 pills were seized. The cardboard boxes were wrapped with wrapping paper and in the back of a vehicle.
Police also seized R60 000, a Ford Ranger, an Audi, a Crysler and a Hyundai Elantra.
The man will appear on charges of possession of illegal cigarettes and violation of the Medicines Act in Tzaneen Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
