EThekwini Outer North Police officers successfully arrested two suspects and found them to be dealing in drugs with a street value of R50,000.
An intelligence-driven mission was conducted on the 13th March 2020 which led teams to an “infamous” drug dealers house located in Phoenix. The officers gained a warrant and executed it at the property, while inside they found the one suspect to be in possession of crack cocaine and heroin.
“During the operation police seized 1312 heroin capsules; 120 pieces of crack cocaine and R12 400-00 in cash. The drugs that were seized have an estimated street value of over R50 000-00.” said Brig Jay Naicker
In the same area and on the same day another intelligence-driven mission was conducted at a new location, officers found a further R40,000 worth of heroin capsules (2000), the suspect was arrested and known to the Police to be part of a drug syndicate in the area.
Both of the suspects are charged with possession of drugs and dealing in drugs and are due to appear at Verulam Magistrates Court on the 16th March 2020.
“These consistent targeted joint operations are continuing to break the back of drug dealers. We will not back down and even if they are granted bail at court, we will re-arrest them once they are caught dealing again,” said Ltnt General Khombinkosi Jula
