Limpopo police are on the trail of a suspect who recently escaped from the detention cells of the Mokopane police station.
Col. Police spokeswoman Moatshe Ngoepe said in a statement Thursday that Owen Alexander escaped from custody shortly after appearing in Mokopane Regional Court on multiple home robbery charges.
According to Ngoepe, an investigation has already been launched to determine how Alexander could escape from detention.
Police are currently calling on people to find any information on where the suspect may be, at Lt. Col. Malose Setsiba on 082 451 7213 or the nearest police station.
