A total of four men are behind bars in the Northern Cape for alleged possession and transport of marijuana.
Northern Cape police say three middle-aged men were arrested Thursday at a roadblock at Campbell after four bags of marijuana were found in their vehicle.
On Friday in the early hours of the morning, a contractor (37) who was transporting newspapers from Bloemfontein to towns in the Northern Cape was also arrested at the roadblock due to the alleged possession and transport of marijuana.
He apparently had a bag of marijuana in his bakkie.
Police seized all the marijuana and the two vehicles.
The men are behind bars and are expected to appear in court Monday on charges of trafficking marijuana.
Capt. Campbell Police Chief Israel Mosakga says he is proud of the good work done by his office’s officers.
