FREE STATE – The group that went by the name of ‘Die Haas’ appeared at the Bloemfontein High court today and received a joint 70 years imprisonment between them.
The four suspects were found guilty of robbery and murder.
In May 2019, Mr Tsimane Malakoane was ‘brutally’ murdered and his body later discarded in the Sekoto river located in Tseseng Village. The victim’s vehicle (Toyota sedan) was later found torched in the Tsierella Village.
The accused hitched a ride from the victim in Bolata Village and during the journey towards Tseseng the group members stabbed their victim to death.
“The four accused, Tshabang Richard Buthelezi (18), received 10 years direct imprisonment, Lehlohonolo Stanley Modipa (18), received 20 years direct imprisonment, Itumeleng Moloi (20), received 20 years direct imprisonment and Nauwe Peter Tshabalala (27), received 20 years direct imprisonment.” said Brig Motantsi Makhele
