Two teenagers were arrested in connection with an attack last Tuesday night in Philippi East in which five people were killed.
Seven suspects stormed into a house in Block 4 around 6:30 pm and began shooting blindly. Four young men died at the scene while a fifth later died in a hospital.
Brig. Western Cape police spokesperson Novela Potelwa said in a statement that an 18- and 19-year-old were arrested in Delft on Monday.
“Philippi East detectives, supported by members of the National Public Order Policing Unit, tracked and struck information on a house in Main Road in Delft.”
