Pres. Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to speak to communities early Tuesday evening through a virtual presidential Imbizo about Covid-19.
The Presidential Imbizo aims to create a platform for public participation where communities can communicate directly with the government about challenges they face.
Ramaphosa spokeswoman Khusela Diko said in a statement that communities will be able to participate in the conversation with Ramaphosa through more than 80 community radio stations, various TV channels and social media.
The Presidential Imbizo takes place at about 6 p.m.
Questions regarding the new coronavirus can be directed to the president through the toll-free number 0800 142 446. Social media users can also direct questions using the #PresidentialImbizo trademark.
