A Zimbabwean man who recently traveled to New York has died of Covid-19.
Zororo Makamba was the second person in Zimbabwe to test positive for Covid-19. He was only 30 years old.
Makamba traveled through Johannesburg to his hometown of Harare on March 9.
Zimbabwe has so far recorded three confirmed cases of Covid-19 as well as one death.
The Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr Obediah Moyo has confirmed the death of Zororo Makamba, who was the second person to test positive for Covid-19 in Zimbabwe.
“The system is overstretched and inadequate to deal with a coronavirus epidemic,” said Norman Matara, the secretary general of the Zimbabwe Association of Doctors for Human Rights.
