City of Tshwane said three of its buildings will be closed for four business days, from June 15 to June 18, after staff members tested positive for Covid-19.
Municipality spokesperson Selby Bokaba said in a statement on Sunday that Tshwane House headquarters, Mini Munitoria in Mamelodi West and the Silverton fire station were closed with immediate effect and are expected to open their doors again on June 19.
“The buildings are disinfected during the evacuation period to prevent the spread of Covid-19,” Bokaba explained.
Anyone who may have been in contact with the persons involved will be contacted in accordance with the Department of Health’s Covid-19 guidelines.
Employees at the three buildings involved are encouraged to stay home during the temporary closure and to take the necessary precautions where necessary to comply with occupational health and safety measures during the COVID-19 pandemic.
