An additional 185 Covid-19 cases were confirmed by the Health Department on Sunday, which has now increased the number to 4 564.
The department also announced another death. This means that 87 South Africans have already died from the virus.
According to the statement, the patient was 87 years old and died in the Western Cape.
The Western Cape still has the most cases in the country at 1608. Gauteng currently has 1331 confirmed cases while KwaZulu-Natal has 863 cases.
