South Africa received another 128 cases of Covid-19 between Sunday and Monday, the Health Department has just announced.
That brings the total number of people who are sick to 402.
The Northern Cape also saw its first confirmed case.

See cases by province below:

Eastern Cape: 2
Free State: 13
Gauteng: 207
KwaZulu-Natal: 60
Limpopo: 4
Mpumalanga: 9
North West: 4
Western Cape: 100
Northern Cape: 2
Unknown: 1
Total: 402

The first case of Covid-19 in the Northern Cape was diagnosed with a woman from Hartswater.

President Ramaphosa will address the nation on Monday evening to talk about the steps ahead.

South Africa’s patient zero is back at home and no longer has Covid-19.

Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu, KwaZulu-Natal’s MEC for health, made the news on Monday at a media conference.

“The first patient was discharged from the hospital and cured of the virus. You are cured when you no longer show any symptoms and the test results come back negative.”
