The Coronavirus claimed its third victim in South Africa on Monday, Louis Wilsenach (79) who was known by many for his writing skills and presence in advertising circles.
There have been 1326 confirmed cases in South Africa and this number is increasing on a daily basis, President Ramaphosa addressed the nation last night and ensured that the Government are doing all they can to prevent the spread of the virus.
Louis Wilsenach was admitted to Hospital on Friday with pneumonia and later died from the illness, He had taken a test and the results came back positive for COVID-19 said one of his family members.
The daughter of Wilsenach has said that he was showing symptoms for 10 days before his death and did not visit hospital until he “struggled to breath” At this stage, it’s unclear where the Wilsenach came into contact with the virus but it’s been said he flew to George two weeks for a vacation and the possibility of contracting the virus while on the plane is present.
Family members on social media are paying tribute and saying how he was such a kind man and also a man that loved his country.
