Dr. Health Minister Zweli Mkhize released the latest Covid 19 statistics for South Africa on Saturday.
A total of 9 420 cases have been reported so far, that is 525 cases more than the previous day. At least 324 079 tests have already been done.
At least 3 983 people are already recovering.
The death toll stands at 186 after eight more deaths have been reported, seven in the Western Cape and one in KwaZulu-Natal.
“One of the deaths in the Western Cape was a nurse at Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town. We pay special attention to this healthcare professional. Our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and many thanks to each of the caregivers who looked after them, ”Mkhize added.
